CAPACITY PER TURBINE

8440 running hours/year (97%)

3300 full operational hours/year

According to calculations by C-Power, based on over 1.2 million historic wind measurements on the coast since 1986, the wind turbines will run for 8440 hours per year, which is 96% of the time.

The number of hours when the wind turbines are running at full power (full operational hours) has been calculated to be approximately 3300 hrs/year.
PARC CAPACITY

5 MW x 60 x 3300h ≈ 1 TWh

6% of the Belgian domestic consumption

The wind turbine park consisting of 60 turbines with an installed capacity of 5 MW consequently has an expected power generation capacity of 5MW*60*3300hr or 1 TWh.

The expected annual capacity thus matches the total renewable energy obligation (6%) of the total Belgian residential consumption.
