COMPARISON WITH OTHER EUROPEAN OFFSHORE PROJECTS

Initial trial projects

Between 1990 and 2000 the first trial projects for wind turbine parks at sea were built. These were characterised by wind turbines with low power and they were installed in very shallow waters close to the coast.

The nearshore multi-megawatt projects

From 2000 the first nearshore multi-megawatt projects were developed in Europe.
C-Power partner and shareholder Dredging International and its sister companies of the DEME group were involved in the offshore construction works of five of these projects.
